In
Nepali language 'Kurseong' means 'a place of white flowers'.
Kurseong comes in the way of Siliguri to Darjeeling at a distance
of 48 kms from Siliguri. This 4860 ft high place is covered
with far, pine & barche trees. Kurseong is known for health
reasons & reputed convent schools. One can observe tea gardens
in the slopes of the hill from Kurseong. Some say Kurseong as
place of orchids. In the way to Darjeeling, the beautiful Kanchenjungha
is first visible from Eagle's crag at Kurseong.
