Kannha Tiger Reserve

It is a good location . But luck must prevail on you to have a glimpse of tiger. Stay arrangements inside the reserve maintained by M.P. Tourism is good.

People say Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve(also in MP) near Jabalpur is better and chances of spoting a tiger is better than Kannha

True enough and yes Bandhavgarh has a better chance as the tiger population per sq. km area is more than any other forest in India, its a comparatively smaller forest.
